Our Community in South West Atlanta

Georgia’s 5th

The Princeton Lakes Community is within Georgia’s 5th Congressional District.
This district was represented by Democrat John Lewis from January 3, 1987 until his death on July 17, 2020. During the 2020 Elections, Senator Nikema Williams won the seat and will be representing the 5th in Congress. We are excited that Congresswoman-Elect Williams is a resident of Princeton Lakes, and look forward to her advancing the legacy of our great civil rights icon for our community, and all the constituents she will represent.
Per the last US Census, the District’s Population was 793,039 with a Median Income of $57,270.
Ethnicity is comprised of 57.7% Black; 31.95% White; 6.39% Hispanic; 4.61% Asian; 0.52% Native American.

Centrally Located

The neighborhood has the benefit of Camp Creek Shopping Center with its stores, restaurants, banks and variety of businesses. Publix, Target, Lowe’s, L.A. Fitness are just a few of the merchants sharing space with specialty stores and a movie theater.

Welcome All Park is west of the neighborhood and William Walker Recreational Center is to the north.
Combined at these locations, you can find: Olympic-sized pool, Tennis Courts, Picnic Shelters, Playground, Gymnasium, Indoor Walking Track and Baseball Fields. Both locations allow area residents to exercise their voting rights as designated polling stations.
Our neighborhood is also fortunate to have “Ben Hill’s Bravest” Fire Station #31 in our midst and rapid response from Atlanta Police.

A short drive away to the east is Greenbriar Mall, and close by is Forest Park Farmer’s Market to the south.
I-285 and I-20, or alternatively I-75 and SR 166 (Langford Pkwy), allow quick interstate access to downtown Atlanta.
Proximity to Hartsfield Jackson Airport and Airport City (currently under development) are additional reasons making the community ideal, as it is adjacent to a thriving metropolitan city and can reap the benefit of city life while retaining a suburban feel.
