I’ve lived in Princeton Lakes for 15 years as one of the original homeowners in the community. When I moved back to the area after living out of state and I was looking for a home, the search kept me close to where I grew up (my parents still live off of Camp Creek). I had been looking for months and was so thankful when I discovered the Princeton Lakes mobile home at Lowe’s. The subdivision had just broken ground, but I knew this was the place for me and bought my home within 24 hours of walking up the trailer steps.

The subdivision had everything I was looking for and I was able to pick my lot and the details of my house. My children were 5 and 6 at the time and the subdivisions proximity to the new marketplace, to a dentist, a pediatrician, and the new elementary school were selling points for me. Because my children were small I was even more thankful for the sidewalks, playground, and community pool. It was exciting to watch our home being built and then watch the houses being built around us. During our walks in the neighborhood we were excited about meeting other people who decided to call Princeton Lakes home. Many of these people are still my good friends to this day. I am also fortunate to have great neighbors who look out for each other and are quick to lend a hand, if needed. Raising my children here has been everything I hoped it would be.

My children are now 19 and 21 and away at school. I will always cherish the memories of walking our dogs on a beautiful day, teaching them how to swim at the Princeton Lakes pool, attending parties and events at the clubhouse, teaching them how to ride a bike on Saville St., and finally, teaching them how to drive in the safety of the subdivision and learning to park at the clubhouse. Princeton Lakes will forever be my home, and in turn, their home too. Even after fifteen years I still get a sense of peace and comfort every time I drive into the subdivision.
